We will give appropriate advice and instruction over the phone during office hours. We encourage you to call if you are unsure of what you are experiencing. Leave call-back information with the receptionist and the nurse will return your call as soon as possible. If you need to speak to a physician, the doctor or nurse practitioner will return your call at their earliest convenience. This is generally during the lunch break or after the work day is completed. If you have contacted the office, and expect a return call from us, please keep your phone line open. If you have not heard back from us and your condition has changed, please call back.   Back to Top

Also, please make sure that your caller ID allows calls even for blocked numbers, or the physician may not be able to reach you.   Back to Top

What is involved in a complete physical exam?
A basic medical necessity for each new patient, this in-depth exam provides your doctor with a thorough understanding of your body, its symptoms and unique characteristics. This may include a detailed history, a physical examination, a chest x-ray, an electrocardiogram (EKG), a urinalysis and blood tests. Additional tests may be requested by your doctor if necessary. All this is done right in our offices in one visit with attention to privacy and convenience.    Back to Top

We recommend a complete history and physical every one to two years for adults over age 40.

What hospital does ECIM admit patients?

Our hospitalists are physicians specializing in the care and management of hospitalized patients with special attention to acute care needs. These doctors are supported by ECIM hospital-based nurse practitioners and confer regularly with your primary care physician to determine your medical needs and continued care. Back to Top
